Milan prepares every year to host the Design Week, the most important event of which is the Salone del Mobile, an eagerly awaited moment in the city.
In a schedule that involves the historic districts of design, meetings, conferences, workshops, exhibitions and installations enhance Milanese ability to achieve innovation by networking the many excellence that characterize the industry.
The Milan exhibition centre is divided into 5 separate events. The first, Salone Internazionale del Mobile, is in turn tripartite: each section represents a different style, namely Classic, Design and xLux. The Salone Internazionale del Complemento d' Arredo, on the other hand, focuses on elements of objects, decorations and furnishings with different styles, from the most classic to the most contemporary, on a panorama of 200 exhibitors. Euroluce, as the name suggests, is the event dedicated to lighting and new technologies in the electrical field, while Workplace3.0 responds to the new demands of the labour market in the field of furniture and office design. Last but not least, the Rho exhibition centre also hosts SaloneSatellite, a section of the Salone del Mobile dedicated to young designers and designers, who will have the opportunity to amaze the talent scouts of the sector ready to invest in new promises of art. This section will be open to the public for the duration of the event, with free entrance from Cargo 5.
Even if it does not have a fixed venue, parallel to the event at the fair, on the same dates, Milan hosts the Fuorisalone, a series of themed events that will dot the city, making it more artistic and rich in design and incredible installations.
